Vezli Privacy Notice

This notice explains the information used to operate the Vezli marketplace pilot and the choices available to you.

Information we use

  • Account details supplied by the sign-in provider, such as account ID, email, display name, and profile photo.
  • Profile and marketplace content, including approximate seller location, listings, photos, messages, offers, reviews, comments, reports, and store information.
  • Operational and safety information, including consent records, moderation actions, and essential device preferences.
  • If you opt in to personalization, viewed listing IDs plus their category and seller-provided location so Vezli can rank relevant listings.

Why we use it

We use information to authenticate accounts, publish listings, enable marketplace communication, personalize results when requested, prevent abuse, moderate reports, improve reliability, and respond to support requests.

What is public or shared

Published listings, seller display names, stores, approximate locations, ratings, and public profile information can be viewed by others. A store listing identifies the store and does not expose or link to its owner’s personal profile unless Vezli adds a separate, explicit visibility control in the future. Messages and offers are shared with their conversation participants. Service providers may process information to host, secure, or operate Vezli. Vezli does not currently sell personal information or use cross-site behavioral advertising.

Cookies and device storage

Essential storage remembers sign-in, security, theme, consent, and app operation. Optional personalization storage is used only after you choose it. You can change that choice from Settings.

Location services and maps

If you choose Use my current location, your browser asks permission to supply coordinates. Vezli rounds latitude and longitude to two decimal places before storing them and sending them to OpenStreetMap’s Nominatim service to find a city or region. The profile also stores the reported accuracy and verification time. You can enter a city manually instead. Changing the saved location text clears the stored verification coordinates. A fixed automatic expiry for location records has not yet been established.

The optional OpenStreetMap map receives location-derived bounds and a marker when you choose to load it; your browser also sends connection information such as your IP address to that provider. Loading the map is optional.

Store analytics and product events

First-party store analytics records store visits and listing views, including store ID, optional listing ID, event type, time, and account ID for signed-in viewers. Anonymous visits have no account ID. Authorized store members with analytics access see counts and activity summaries. These events are separate from optional personalized recommendations.

Authenticated product events record an event category, optional item ID, account ID, bounded duration, and time to evaluate product use and reliability. Arbitrary client metadata is not retained by the product-event endpoint. The platform owner can export product events. Historical events and other server-generated records may contain additional metadata. No automatic deletion schedule for analytics or product events is currently configured; retention remains a launch-review item.

Retention and security

Account information remains stored while it is needed for the marketplace, safety, and dispute handling; there is no universal automatic erasure deadline. Operator-enabled retention jobs remove expired OAuth attempts after a 24-hour grace period, expired AI response caches, expired comparison locks, and unselected enhancement media after its comparison expires plus a 24-hour grace period. These are eligibility windows, not guaranteed completion times. Saved drafts, analytics, financial records, and deletion receipts are not routinely trimmed by these jobs. Access controls and protected storage reduce risk, but no online system can guarantee perfect security.

Your choices

You can edit your information, disable personalization, and download an account-scoped JSON export. Oversized exports require a reviewed request through an available contact channel; a partial export is not silently presented as complete. Account deletion shows whether self-service deletion is enabled. When accepted, deletion restricts account access and hides seller content while cleanup progresses. Shared history is retained with redacted or pseudonymized departing-account information. Minimal deletion receipts remain to prevent restoration of a deleted account. External billing and marketplace cleanup can remain pending for authorized review; submitting a deletion request does not promise that those services have already been canceled. Rights and any required retention need operator review for the applicable location.

Children and changes

Vezli is for people age 13 and older. People under the age of legal majority must have permission and supervision from a parent or legal guardian. Vezli does not knowingly permit accounts for children under 13. Material notice changes will be presented in the app and may require renewed acknowledgement.
